MLADU can connect to your AWS S3 bucket using permissions granted via an AWS S3 Bucket Policy and AWS KMS Key. This ensures a robust, secure setup tailored to your organization's governance standards. Your S3 bucket remains fully owned and managed by your organization, and MLADU will never modify its properties, security, or contents.
To optimize performance and reduce the risk of data collisions, we recommend dedicating an S3 bucket exclusively for data transfers. This ensures your ongoing organizational activities in other buckets are unaffected.
MLADU provides a bucket policy template to simplify configuration, offering a secure alternative to IAM access keys. Additionally, if your organization uses AWS Key Management Service (KMS) keys for encrypting data at rest, MLADU is fully compatible. Our Data Transfer Concierge Team will collaborate with you to ensure seamless integration with your KMS key while adhering to your security policies.
MLADU leverages AWS checksum values to verify data accuracy and integrity during transfers. Each transfer is accompanied by a detailed manifest, giving you full transparency and confidence in the process.
We align with AWS file size limits, supporting individual S3 objects ranging from 0 bytes to a maximum of 5 TB. For single PUT operations, the current limit is 5 GB. These limits are governed by AWS and may change as they update their services.
